Submissions are not being accepted at this time.

We appreciate your interest in The Cavern Press but unsolicited submissions will be deleted. We will not respond.

If you would like us to begin accepting submissions sooner, consider buying Stephan Augustine’s Lordal. Alternatively, if you aren’t looking for a publisher and would simply like assistance with your manuscript, you can hire The Cavern Press through our Services.

When we are accepting submissions…

We’re open to fiction and nonfiction, regardless of genre, as long as you believe it’s exceptional and you truly believe in yourself and what you’re working on. We can’t be excited if you aren’t, after all.

Submission Guidelines

Please submit your entire manuscript with a query letter for consideration. Your query letter should include word count, a brief synopsis, and any pertinent information such as if the submission is the first in a series, read-alikes, or if it’s a simultaneous submission.

  • The Cavern Press only accepts original unpublished material. Do not submit work that has been previously published.

  • Fiction submissions should be novel-length: 10,000 to 120,000 words.

  • Nonfiction submissions should be book-length: 20,000 to 150,000 words.

  • Please attach a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file to your submission for review. We will not review embedded submissions. Please note that we will need a .doc or .docx file if your submission is accepted.

  • Please include your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number on the cover page of your manuscript.

  • Be honest. Be professional. We won’t tell you how to set your margins, what font size to use, or how to format the document. We can fix that on the road to publication. But if your manuscript is a complete mess, it will be rejected. Please don’t waste your or our time.

  • Please wait a minimum of 30 days after submission before following up. The Cavern Press prides itself on providing feedback to every submission, even if it’s a polite rejection.

Please note that not following these simple guidelines will result in an automatic rejection.
